Position: Advanced Spatial Analysis and Data Science Professional (Job Location in Sharma, NEOM)

Role Purpose:
Drive the development of the Movement Place User Forecast model (MPU) for the LM sector of Neom to improve the design and performance of the Line mobility system
Key Accountabilities & Activities:
- Specify advanced spatial analytics and user-centric simulation methodology for volumetric/ 3&4D environments for tender documentation to procure suppliers
- Set performance KPIs for analysis and simulation to align with Neom LM Line Mobility & vertical community planning
- Supervise MPU development of consultant for:
- UI/UX functionality
- API development
- Modelling techniques
- Liaise and guide the consultant for the MPU development to support the Line Mobility Planning team and LM sector with the scrutiny and optimization of Mobility-at-Height
- Develop data science benchmarks and supervise metrics quantification and visualization for the MPU model and Impact Assessment procedures in collaboration with Manager for TOC, Line Mobility Planning
- Review and assess UP & consultants’ submissions on output data and performance modelling of movement system and spatial analytics
- Neom Move inputs: liaise and interface with the Neom LM Digital Mobility platform to inform on potential methods and metrics
Background, Skills & Qualifications:
- > 5 years experience in the development of spatial analytics models and creative coding/ computational design and their application to professional projects in architecture and urban design
- Solid knowledge of algorithms and data science for spatial planning
- Some knowledge of product and software development (full stack understanding) and familiarity with its project management infrastructure and process such as agile
- Some database management knowledge desirable
- Experience in managing small teams and independently communicate with stakeholders and suppliers
- Good visualization skills desired to guide consultants and produce internal reports
Qualifications:
- Combination of degree (graduate or post-graduate) in built environment subject (architecture, urban design, urban planning) and degree (graduate or post-graduate) in data-science/ computational design/ computer science/ quantitative development
- academic research engagement in field also desirable such as part-time university teaching
- fluency in English
