Commercial Operations Lead

Summary

The primary purpose of the Commercial Operations Lead role is to perform the following: Commercial monitoring and control of the contracts, Commercial Change Control Management, Commercially Assist all NEOM Ops. Departments, Assist all NEOM Ops. Departments with Cost Estimates, Prepare Commercial Reports, and Prepare Statements of Final Account

 

Responsibilities

  • To prepare cost estimates for all NEOM Ops. departments where required.
  • To apply basic knowledge of quantity surveying and using industry best practice.
  • Provide responses to claimed variations and claims proposed and assist with contract negotiations.
  • Assist with the preparation of requests for proposals (RFP’s) for distribution to vendors.
  • Analyze all commercial related requirements and provisions in contracts.
  • Advising on lessons learnt for all future contract modifications.
  • Visit Project Sites and meet with all other NEOM department managers.
  • Monitor the performance of each signed contract.
  • Ensures that business goals are accomplished by financial monitoring.
  • Trains and supervises other professionals, if and when required.
  • Communicates contractual concerns to management and / or subordinates.
  • Maintains a computer database for the company’s Commercial Management information.
  • Identifies potential improvements to existing policies.
  • Prepares all Commercial Management Reports relating to Change Management.
  • Conducts special Commercial tasks as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any of the following: Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or closely related major, from an accredited university and 10+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Knowledge of international contracts
  • Ability to interact with senior representatives of NEOM
  • Knowledge of financial analytics and profit and loss implications
  • Possesses excellent persuasion, negotiation and judgment skills
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive experience in Change Management
