Manager - Water Marketing

The Manager- Water Marketing is responsible for development and execution of marketing activities to support NEOM’s Water Business Development Department.  The position will support cross-Sector marketing requirements, including Water, Wastewater, Networks and Water Management. The Marketing Manager for Water will play a key role in the relationship management, marketing, communications, and business strategy, which is a critical support function necessary for the continued success of the NEOM Water Sector.


The second core Strategy of NEOM approved by the board, is development of the Water Solutions company, and this is a key external facing role that will enhance the visibility of NEOM, develop Conferences and attract industries to NEOM



Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities


  • Develop and monitor relationship management activities for investors and stakeholders, including setting up and rolling out customer relationship management platforms, as appropriate
  • Develop a set of best practices for the Business Development team, including comprehensive planning, investor relationship, quality measurement, and Sector scorecards
  • Coordinate with other Sectors and other functional groups with NEOM (Energy, Projects, Communications etc) to assess and coordinate cross collaboration of marketing efforts between other groups
  • Identify, track and participate in key industry conferences and trade shows which NEOM’s Water Sector should attend on a regional and global level, including assessing and coordinating level of participation (ie, participate in technical papers, panel discussions, booth displays, etc)
  • Organize annual Water Conference in NEOM, including setting up conference committee, coordinating with 3rd party planners/organizers, coordinating with Water Sector leadership, etc
  • Develop, monitor and update Water microsite or website, including taking lead in ongoing development
  • Liaison with other Sector BD representatives (report back on activities, look for synergies, etc)
  • Assist with updating the Water business strategy
  • Support NEOM strategic planning and direction, and work closely with counterparts across the NEOM Organization
  • Identify and capitalise on opportunities for new business and team growth with the support of Directors with the Water Sector
  • Provide leadership and direction that delivers high performance and team engagement in an environment supportive of cooperation, collaboration and developing our people to achieve
  • Collaboration between all departments in Water
  • Collaboration with Energy supply department

  • Collaboration with Communications Department



Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • MBA seen as favourable
  • Previous experience in Business Development or Marketing in a large company
  • Well-developed commercial acumen
  • Experience in sales and marketing, including key account management
  • Experience in a dynamic complex commercial organization, managing multiple stakeholders and projects
  • Experience developing and executing measurable strategies and plans
  • Ability to negotiate with potential business partners
  • Innovative approach, eager to challenge the status quo
  • Dynamic, eager
