Senior Health & Safety Specialist

Summary
To support the Health and Safety (H&S) Manager to manage, coordinate, and advise FM & Operations on all aspects with regards to Health and Safety. To establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training, and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety within NEOM are adhered to.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains HSE documentations, manuals, and procedures in line with relevant legislations and standards
- Reviews and updates of Occupational Health and Safety Risk Assessments
- Monitors and inspects new and planned facilities for compliance related health and safety issues.
- Reviews safety regulatory standards, observes facilities operations to assess potentially unsafe working practices and conditions; develops code of practices to address these issues.
- Evaluates H&S objectives; determines training or other support requirements
- Prepares H&S statistical reports as required.
- Develops safety education and safety training programs; evaluates training needs; develops materials and conducts training sessions to meet FM safety objectives.
- Provides technical safety information and compliance requirements
- Reviews Incident Investigation Reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably Engineering and/or OSH) with a minimum of 10 years’ experience within a multi-discipline operation and relevant experience in a similar role
- ISO Certified Auditor for Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001)
- NEBOSH (General Certificate) qualified or working towards NEBOSH certificate accreditation.
- Performing a variety of occupational health and safety duties.
- Leading, organizing, and reviewing the work of staff.
- Developing and conducting safety training programs.
- Monitoring safety program performance and recommending adjustments.
- Identifying safety-training needs.
- Evaluating operational area safety requirements.
- Investigating accidents and developing solutions to avoid future accidents.
- Interpreting and explaining NEOM FM Safety and Health policies and procedures.
- Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
