Supply Chain Industrial Engineer

Neom Supply Chain & Logistics (SC&L) Division’s role is to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the world’s first fully integrated physical and digital Supply Chain from green field, serving NEOM and the region with intelligent, sustainable, and autonomous solutions

The role of the Industrial Engineering Specialist is to engage in the development and delivery of the next generation of highly automated logistics facilities that will enable Supply Chain & Logistics to fulfill its’ mandate of offering a pioneering and fully sustainable warehousing and delivery network.

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert within SC&L for all aspects of logistics facility specification and design
  • Engage with NEOM SC&L stakeholders to identify their requirements for facility design requirements
  • Liaise with NEOM Projects teams to develop the comprehensive facility design requirements and asset briefs, to enable the progression of the design and acquisition programmes for the facility assets
  • Provide NEOM SC&L stakeholders with all necessary CAD and GIS expertise, in conjunction with wider NEOM SMEs



Developing Logistics Facility Engineering Design

  • Engage with NEOM SC&L stakeholders to identify all necessary facility design requirements, to enable the development of the comprehensive logistics estate that will be required to support the entirety of NEOM
  • Undertake all necessary research, and where necessary the associated development, to create the facility designs and specifications that meet the specific needs of NEOM
  • Undertake all necessary CAD and GIS elements that will be required, including the establishment of a NEOM SC&L BIM database


Building the team

  • Instrumental in the identification and creation of a larger facility engineering design development team vital in ensuring the most innovative and sustainable facility assets are introduced into NEOM
  • Assist in developing a high-performing team through recognising and recruiting the best talent, maximising the skills, flexibility and potential of the professional staff, and minimising employee-initiated turnover through effective management and leadership and onboarding new hires with proper induction programs


Engaging with NEOM Projects & Regions

  • Actively drive NEOM SC&L Projects and Regional engagement plans related to facility specifications
  • Engage with external architect, planners, contractors and engineering consultancies to develop a coherent logistics design and specification “language” for NEOM SC&L
  • Build and grow close relationships with senior management and sector experts to ensure consistent sector strategy across NEOM SC&L
  • Build and grow relationships with all relevant internal stakeholders
  • Foster exchange of best practices within and across BU/ sectors, i.e. within SC&L and wider NEOM.



  • 10+ years’ experience in logistics facility design and drafting of specifications
  • Honours degree in Civil Engineering, Logistics or other numerate discipline
  • Detailed experience in in the use of CAD packages, including the use of 2D and 3D, GIS mapping tools and BIM, preferably with experience of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Map 3D and Revit
  • Project management skills, using latest techniques, governance and reporting
  • Knowledge of latest technologies in supply chain management, warehousing and distribution, and developments in functionality of the latest logistics systems applications
  • Customer focused and experienced in building relationships and understanding expectations
  • Highly flexible to changing business requirements
  • Preferred experience with integration with advanced logistics automation
  • Planning & organising skills
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship skills
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Ability to report and respond at senior level
  • Experience in product R&D and innovation desirable
  • Fluent English language skills required
  • Hands-on mentality
